Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living is seeking staff to provide dementia-focused care in a resident-centered environment. You will engage residents with meaningful activities, assist with daily living tasks, and support meals while promoting independence and dignity.

State regulations may require certification; a GED or high school diploma is needed. The role supports a team-based, safety-conscious setting with opportunities for professional growth and benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3–6 months related experience preferred and/or training in direct service with older adults living with dementia.
• Knowledge of dementia, particularly Alzheimer's type.
• May need current state certification and follow regulations to maintain certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides dementia care including adapted activities and meaningful engagement following a person-centered service plan.
• Assist residents with daily living activities and promote independence.
• Support meals, hydration, and nutritional needs while respecting residents' choices and rights.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation and report changes in residents' condition to supervisor.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in team discussions and daily care planning.
