Brookdale Senior Living is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide dementia-focused care in a resident setting. You will implement person-centered plans, assist with daily living activities, and promote independence for residents living with dementia.

The role emphasizes safety, dignity, and respectful engagement in activities and meals. This position requires patience, clear communication, and the ability to document changes in resident condition and care needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3–6 months related experience in direct service with older adults living with dementia.
• Knowledge of dementia, particularly Alzheimers type.

Responsibilities

• Provides dementia care following a person-centered service plan, ensuring resident dignity and independence.
• Assists residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers) and encourages independence.
• Participates in team meetings and communicates changes in resident condition to supervisors.
• Maintains accurate resident records and reports changes in eating or health conditions.
