Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living in Albuquerque is seeking caregivers to provide dementia-focused support and meaningful engagement for residents. You will follow individualized care plans, assist with daily living activities, and support a compassionate, community-based living environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with meals, documenting changes, and collaborating with the care team to ensure resident well-being and safety. Prior caregiving experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3–6 months related experience in direct care preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia and person-centered care principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provides dementia care including activities of daily living and meaningful engagement per individual service plan.
• Assists residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility as needed.
• Assists with meals and dining activities while promoting proper nutrition and hydration.
• Maintains accurate daily notes and reports changes in resident condition to supervisor.
