Job summary

Amazon Logistics Leaders are responsible for all budgetary, people development and operations objectives for a Delivery Station (DS). This role includes managing and leading a team of Operations, Area and Shift Managers, coaching and mentoring to meet performance goals and building leadership bench strength within the DS.

You will work with partners across Transport, DSP Management, Finance and HR, drive safety and quality, implement lean initiatives, and hire and develop top talent to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• 7+ years’ direct management experience in a logistics, fulfillment, or distribution environment.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and lean techniques.
• Experience with full lifecycle staffing: interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, terminations.
• Strong analytical capability; data-driven problem solving.
• Excellent communication skills in English and local language.
• Experience managing third-party resources on a regional/national scale.
• Experience managing contingent workforce during peak seasons.
• Flexible to work varied hours including overnight, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Owns overall safety, quality, performance, customer experience for delivery station operations.
• Drives vision and quality initiatives to meet and exceed business plans.
• Sets expectations for Operations, Area and Shift Managers; measures performance and provides feedback.
• Manages day-to-day relationships with Delivery Service Providers (DSPs).
• Presents operational metrics to senior leadership.
• Hires and develops top talent; creates talent plans and succession strategies.
• Leverages managers to generate improvement ideas and implement plans.
• Fosters a strong culture and engagement across the delivery station team.
• Collaborates with Transport, DSP Management, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR, ACES and Engineering.
