Job summary

Medline Industries, LP is seeking a detail-oriented Dispatch/Logistics Support professional to ensure routes are filled and provide timely instructions to drivers and customers throughout the day.

The role involves responding to delivery questions, managing schedules, and using systems to optimize driver resources while adhering to Hours of Service regulations. Salary ranges reflect hourly compensation and benefits are offered for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2 years experience with inbound/outbound call handling, scheduling and/or administrative work.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding deliveries including no shows, cancellations and scheduled deliveries.
• Respond to customer inquiries and needs in a timely manner.
• Use computer system to retrieve schedule and asset information.
• Use reference material to quickly and accurately determine the best method to assign driver resources and routes for maximum efficiency and utilization while reducing mileage when possible.
• Update, prepare, and dispense the daily route schedule.
• Monitor and document route manifests and deliveries throughout the day adjusting for changes as needed.
• Make and schedule appointments with customers that require delivery appointments.
• Route drivers according to their skill set and available DOT mandated Hours of Service regulations.
• Complete a variety of daily reports and clerical duties.
• Ensure correct departments have all necessary paperwork for on time delivery departure.
