Job summary

Medline Industries is seeking a Fleet Dispatch Manager to oversee the safe and efficient operation of the MedTrans fleet, scheduling and dispatching vehicles and drivers while ensuring DOT and company compliance.

The role involves optimizing daily routes, training drivers, maintaining equipment, and leading a team. Candidates should have high school level education, 2+ years guiding staff, and working knowledge of routing software and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience managing and dispatching drivers and use of routing software.
At least 2 years of experience coaching, mentoring and training staff.
Intermediate knowledge of Transportation Costing and Motor Carrier Operations.
Basic level skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily routes and fleet activities based on branch and fleet workloads.
Ensure all drivers are properly trained according to MedTrans requirements.
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained per MedTrans vehicle maintenance policy.
Recruit, hire, train and discipline all drivers.
Conduct regularly scheduled driver meetings as required by DOT or policy.
Lead day-to-day activities of employees and provide guidance on complex issues.
