Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• The Service Delivery team within Cloud Data Engineering (CDE) is responsible for all development, implementation operations (DevOps), and support (Product Services) of data pipelines that feed the Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) and the Power BI environment that consumes from it.
• The EDL provides batch and streaming data that drive reporting and analytics across Enterprise Mobility, as well as an API layer used by many critical operational systems.
• The DevOps and Product Services teams play key roles in releasing and supporting data pipeline components, collaborating with IT teams to plan and coordinate outages and system updates.
• As a Release Manager, you will work with Domain data engineering teams and other IT and business teams to define and develop detailed release plans.
• You will coordinate the daily activities of a global support organization, acting as a scrum master for the DevOps and Product Services teams.
• Your role includes coordinating interactions between teams to remove blockers for Data and DevOps Engineers.
• You will review plans and coordinate post-release health checks for new data pipeline components.
• You are encouraged to identify opportunities for process improvements, collaborating with teams and management to streamline or automate manual tasks.
• You will work with teams to identify issues and risks, recommend solutions, and collaborate with senior management to implement them.
• While the company supports a healthy work-life balance, this position may require a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends for release and maintenance events.
• This role may involve participation in implementations but is not responsible for executing releases.
• The initial focus will be to learn the Cloud Data Engineering release, implementation, and support processes, and coordinate all steps for releasing and maintaining data pipelines.
• Opportunities exist to collaborate on process optimization and automation.
• Over time, the role will involve maintaining existing data pipelines and advancing practices toward CI/CD-driven release management.
