Level II Release Manager

As a Release Manager 2, you will collaborate with Domain Data Engineering teams and other IT and business teams to define and develop detailed release plans. You will coordinate daily activities of a global support organization, acting as a Scrum Master for DevOps and Product Services teams. Your role involves removing blockers for Data and DevOps Engineers, reviewing plans, and conducting post-release health checks of data pipeline components. You are encouraged to identify process improvements and collaborate with teams and management to streamline or automate manual tasks. Additionally, you will document issues and risks, recommend solutions, and work with senior management to implement them.

Required:

  • Ability to work within U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours.
  • Commitment to incorporating security into all decisions and responsibilities.
  • 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced IT environment (software development/data, release management, project management, etc.)
  • 2+ years of experience in IT data engineering, release management, or IT support
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proven experience in ITSM change management in ServiceNow or similar systems
  • Experience assessing, modifying, and optimizing processes, and collaborating on implementations
  • Leadership, team-centric skills, solution-oriented mindset, and strong communication
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Previous Release Management or Scrum Master experience
  • Proficiency with software development lifecycles, including waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Experience with release and support management, deployment automation, and infrastructure maintenance
  • Knowledge of quality metrics and resource tracking
  • Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Project, Excel, Visio, Teams, SharePoint, Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow
  • Experience leading process improvements in application release and infrastructure maintenance
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and DevOps practices
  • Experience working within a SAFe Agile framework.
