  • Understanding of Azure Pipelines (YAML)
  • Understanding of Duck Creek ODCH for release management.

Responsibilities:

Release Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop and manage the release calendar and deployment schedule.
  • Coordinate release planning across environments and code promotions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, project managers, developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to define release timelines and requirements.
  • Identify and address release dependencies and resource needs.

Release Execution:

  • Lead CI/CD processes for planning, scheduling, and deploying insurance product releases.
  • Ensure compliance with client processes and approval chains.
  • Track support cases related to Duck Creek from submission to resolution.
  • Oversee deployment to ensure smooth transition from development to production.
  • Identify and mitigate risks like delays, resource shortages, or scope changes.
  • Ensure rollback scripts are prepared and correctly followed.
  • Monitor and resolve issues during or after releases.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Act as a point of contact among development, QA, operations, and business teams for release matters.
  • Ensure alignment to meet release goals and timelines.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure releases meet quality standards and follow testing, documentation, and validation best practices.
  • Prepare pre- and post-deployment checklists and pass deployment through quality gates.
  • Collaborate with QA teams for proper testing before deployment.

Communication:

  • Provide updates to senior management and stakeholders on release status and challenges.
  • Lead release meetings, including pre- and post-release reviews.
  • Coordinate with teams across multiple time zones and geographies.

Post-release Support:

  • Monitor post-release activities and performance.
  • Manage feedback, issues, and resolution processes.
  • Review and improve release processes based on lessons learned.
