Job summary

Sysco Orlando is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to support the manager in supervising delivery and backhaul activities, training staff, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role involves coordinating with warehouse and customer service teams to resolve issues and maintain efficient delivery operations.

The position requires knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations, ability to lead teams, and experience in transportation operations.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
2–4 years of transportation experience and/or training.
Class A commercial driver’s license preferred but not required.
Certificate of DOT regulations training preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily work and safety of transportation associates, ensuring SOPs, food safety standards, and efficient customer service.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (DOT, OSHA) and accurate electronic logs.
Oversee labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
Prepare work schedules including extra days and shifts as needed.
Assist with training of new associates and cross-training of existing staff.
Direct proper selection and utilization of company assets to support delivery.
Coordinate repairs with relevant departments as necessary.
Review delivery functions and productivity data; suggest efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
