Job summary

Sysco is seeking an experienced Operations supervisor to oversee delivery activities in our distribution network. This role directs delivery staff, ensures compliance with government regulations, and maintains safety and security within the delivery department.

You will manage schedules, monitor performance, collaborate with Sales and Marketing to resolve delivery issues, and drive process improvements. Strong knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations and excellent communication are essential for

Qualifications

• 1-3 years related experience and/or training.
• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 2 or 4-year college degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or similar major preferred.
• Defensive driving training (Sysco approved); HazMat certification preferred; Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the daily work and safety of Delivery Associates, including adherence to SOPs and planned routes.
• Ensures Delivery Associate compliance with local, state and federal regulatory agencies (e.g. DOT, OSHA) and maintains current electronic logs.
• Manages labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
• Prepares work schedules including extra work days and shifts as needed.
• Oversees proper selection and utilization of company assets in support of the Delivery department.
• Organizes required repairs with proper departments as necessary.
• Reviews delivery functions and productivity reporting.
• Suggests efficiency ideas and cost reduction measures and assists with delivery changes.
