Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee Delivery activities and lead the delivery staff in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. This role emphasizes management of schedules, adherence to regulations, and collaboration with Sales/Marketing to resolve delivery issues.

Candidates should have a high school diploma (GED) and 1–3 years of related experience, with a preference for a Business or Supply Chain degree and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Degree in Business/Supply Chain preferred.
• 1-3 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily work and safety of Delivery Associates.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations (DOT, OSHA).
• Manages labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
• Prepares work schedules including extra days and shifts.
• Oversees asset usage in support of the Delivery department.
• Coordinates required repairs with proper departments.
• Reviews delivery functions and productivity reporting.
• Suggests efficiency ideas and cost reductions.
• Interprets and enforces company policies and procedures.
• Communicates with Sales and Marketing to resolve issues.
• Visits customer locations to address issues and assess delivery difficulty.
• Maintains regular department or pre-shift meetings.
