Job summary

Diakon Logistics, Inc. in Dayton is seeking a Delivery Supervisor to lead furniture and appliance deliveries by coaching independent contractor carriers and Diakon service reps.

You will oversee daily operations, monitor routes, billing, and performance metrics while building strong client relationships and ensuring safety and compliance. The ideal candidate has bilingual abilities (Spanish preferred), solid computer skills, and a track record in logistics leadership, with a Bachelor's degree or

Qualifications

• Bilingual (Spanish highly preferred).
• Excellent computer skills, including Excel and MS Office.
• Hands-on management with strong customer service focus.
• Effective verbal and written communication, with relationship-building awareness.
• High energy, deadline-oriented, and skilled in time management.
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or 2-3 years in logistics/supply chain preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Educate, assign, schedule, coach, and appraise support staff; communicate expectations, monitor performance, and enforce policies/procedures.
• Meet financial and operational metrics; uphold performance standards; maintain a safe, secure work environment.
• Oversee daily operations including route monitoring, billing, claims, metrics, and reporting.
• Build client relationships through effective communication and timely resolutions when issues arise.
• Ensure work accuracy within deadlines to meet financial/operational standards.
• Provide risk-minimizing solutions and hold the team accountable to client SOPs.
