Job summary

FHLB Des Moines seeks an experienced Delivery Operations Supervisor to oversee daily routing, staffing, and safety. You will ensure SOP adherence, manage budgets, and uphold regulatory compliance across DOT/OSHA standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Sales and Marketing, maintaining logs and performance metrics, and driving continuous improvements in delivery efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years related experience and/or training.
• 2–4 year degree in Business Management or Supply Chain preferred.
• Ability to read, comprehend, write and speak English.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business materials.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Working knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily delivery operations and safety for supervisors and routing staff.
• Ensures SOP adherence, planned routes, and safe customer service.
• Monitors regulatory compliance (DOT, OSHA) and keeps electronic logs current.
• Manages labor hours, travel, fuel and supplies within budget; prepares schedules.
• Coordinates asset use and repairs with other departments; supports delivery changes.
• Tracks KPI goals and customer satisfaction; suggests efficiency improvements.
• Communicates with Sales/Marketing to resolve delivery opportunities or issues.
• Conducts safety observations and supports training with Safety department.
