Job summary

FHLB Des Moines is seeking an Operations Delivery Manager to oversee daily routing, staff safety, and regulatory compliance. You will manage supervisors, ensure SOP adherence, and optimize routes to meet KPI and customer goals.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and communication skills with experience in delivery operations and regulatory requirements. A CDL and related certifications are preferred but not always required, with potential collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred in business-related field.
• Experience with delivery operations, budgeting and route planning.
• Knowledge of DOT/OSHA and safety regulations is required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; strong communication skills.
• Proficient with Excel/word processing and routing software.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily work and safety of delivery supervisors and staff.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, routes, and customer service targets.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and proper logs.
• Manage labor hours, travel, fuel within budget; schedule shifts.
• Oversee asset procurement and repair coordination.
• Monitor KPIs and customer satisfaction; improve profitability.
• Collaborate with Sales/Marketing to resolve issues; visit customers.
• Maintain routing software usage and enforce policies.
• Lead safety observations, investigations and disciplinary actions as needed.
