Job summary

Sysco Virginia, LLC is seeking an experienced Transportation Supervisor to oversee delivery operations and staff. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, monitor safety, and manage labor hours and resources to meet performance targets.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. This position is based in Virginia with typical on-site duties and non-traditional hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1–3 years related experience or equivalent.
• Two- to four-year college degree in Business or Supply Chain preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily work and safety of Delivery Associates.
• Ensures compliance with DOT, OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
• Manages labor hours and supplies within budget; prepares schedules.
• Coordinates asset use and repairs across Delivery department.
• Reviews delivery performance and implements efficiency improvements.
• Enforces company policies and procedures; communicates with Sales/Marketing.
• Maintains associate relations and morale; conducts pre-shift meetings.
• Coordinates safety training with Safety department; conducts investigations.
