Job summary

The SYGMA Network is seeking a Transportation Supervisor in Denver to oversee driver performance, payroll processing, and route optimization. You will ensure DOT compliance, maintain equipment records, and manage vendor invoices while coordinating staff assignments and training.

Responsibilities include monitoring trips, fuel usage, and expenses, reviewing logs for accuracy, and ensuring safe, efficient operation. A CDL and 21+ may be required depending on the role and location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; a 4-year degree is preferred.
• 5–8 years of transportation supervisor experience.
• 4 years of transportation experience.
• CDL license required; 21+; clean safety record; DOT compliance anticipated.

Responsibilities

• Monitor driver performance using the trip master and other control features.
• Maintain detailed records of driver pay, equipment maintenance and performance.
• Review driver logs and paperwork to ensure accuracy and DOT policy adherence.
• Closely monitor equipment to ensure safe operation and minimize breakdowns.
• Order necessary parts and equipment used in driver responsibilities.
• Review routing to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Hire, train, direct, and discipline transportation personnel to optimize asset use.
• Plan and schedule assignments for transportation staff; process weekly payroll.
• Verify vendor invoices and complete accounts payable vouchers.
• Monitor trip records and fuel reports for mileage and cost.
• Monitor monthly expenses and adjust planning accordingly.
• Perform the necessary requirements of the DOT.
• Review backhauls to ensure profitability.
