Job summary

The SYGMA Network in Denver, CO seeks a transportation supervisor to oversee delivery and backhaul activities, train staff, ensure DOT compliance, and promote safety. Schedule: Sun–Wed, 12 PM–10 PM. You will lead a team, monitor performance, and coordinate with warehouses and customers to resolve delivery issues.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in transportation with English proficiency and a background in logistics or business management. CDL is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of transportation experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and read reports.
• High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred in business or logistics.
• Class A CDL is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily work and safety of transportation associates.
• Ensures compliance with DOT, OSHA and other regs; maintains logs.
• Prepares schedules and manages labor hours within budget.
• Trains new associates and cross-trains existing staff.
• Directs use of assets; coordinates repairs with departments.
• Monitors productivity, reports, and implements efficiency ideas.
• Enforces policies and procedures, including food safety and record-keeping.
• Communicates with warehouse and customer service to resolve issues.
• Visits customer locations to address delivery challenges.
• Maintains associate relations through regular meetings.
• Works with safety manager on training and incident investigations.
