Job summary

American 1 Credit Union is seeking a Payment Support Specialist to contact delinquent members and negotiate payment arrangements while maintaining a positive member experience. The role requires teamwork, strong communication, and adherence to policy and regulatory guidelines.

Location is on-site in Jackson, MI with wage of $21.13/hour and day-one benefits including health, dental, vision, and Responsible Time Off. Background screens are required for all offers of employment.

Qualifications

• Minimum education of high school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of previous credit union/banking experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, often stressful environment with the ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Knowledge of BSA, Regulation CC, D, E, and other pertinent regulations.

Responsibilities

• Contact members with delinquency 30–89 days on their account(s) and arrange payment solutions.
• Engage with members to identify reasons for delinquency and promote payment arrangements.
• Maintain a positive image of the credit union and provide assistance to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with teammates and follow policies to ensure accurate processing and compliance.
