Sprouts Farmers Market in Overland Park, KS, is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to lead the deli team and ensure top-notch customer service. You will assist in managing inventory, scheduling, and daily operations to support department profitability and a positive shopping experience.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and food safety knowledge, with flexibility for a varied schedule in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and have preferred 2 years supervisory experience in deli or related food service
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with customer interaction and phone handling
• Proven leadership ability to build and motivate staff while understanding reports and financial goals
• Detail oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills
• Maintain Food Safety certification and compliance with all regulations and standards
• Strong organizational and planning skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Lift up to 70 lbs and stand for long periods as required
• Operate deli equipment safely and assist in maintenance of equipment
• Willing to perform other related duties as assigned

Responsabilités

• Assist the Deli Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Deli team
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork
• Assist in leading a team to deliver high-quality product and exceptional customer service
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Deli team
• Unload deliveries and maintain deli equipment
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and training of team
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a positive work culture
