Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager in Overland Park, KS. You will assist in leading one of the store's busiest teams, ensuring product quality, safe operations, and excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will help manage inventory, scheduling, training, and development of the Deli staff while upholding health and sanitation standards and meeting company goals.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a preferred 2 years supervisory experience and strong knowledge of deli or related food service
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• Strong written and verbal communication to work in a team
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude handling customers
• Proven leadership to build and motivate staff and understand reports and sales goals
• Solid organization and planning skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks
• Food Safety certification and knowledge of regulations for product freshness, safety and sanitation

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deli Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Deli team
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork
• Lead a team to deliver high quality products and top customer service
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Deli team
• Unload and sort deliveries, operate and maintain deli equipment
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation guidelines
