Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store leadership-focused professional to oversee day-to-day operations, including staffing, training, and coaching. You will drive sales while ensuring customer satisfaction and store standards.

You will mentor team members, manage scheduling and hiring, and implement development paths while upholding safety and company policies. A strong focus on productivity and service is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli) and customer service flow are helpful.
• Ability to clearly communicate direction to team members.
• Ability to resolve conflicts by addressing root causes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to drive decisions and suggestive selling.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members in daily store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Staffing, selection, and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and identify development needs for team members.
• Apply disciplinary actions and make recommendations concerning discharge.
• Manage P&L, achieve sales, and maintain department shrink.
• Ensure team delivers exceptional, fast, and friendly service.
• Maintain safety standards and Meijer policies across the area.
