Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas.
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to analyze financial and sales data.
• Commitment to safe, reliable attendance.
• Proven ability to mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote sales while delivering courteous, efficient service.
• Lead and mentor team to exceed goals and maintain standards.
• Document disciplinary actions and recommendations on discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, sales and shrink control.
• Model excellent, fast, friendly customer service.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings.
• Mentor team members to ensure service and sales goals are met.
• Ensure training is completed for all roles.
