Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a dedicated store professional to manage deli and related departments with a focus on food preparation, display, and customer service. You will train teammates, monitor schedules, and ensure compliance with safety standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include preparation of sandwiches, pizzas, and grab-and-go items, stocking and rotating products, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across the department.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations.
• Must complete a food safety certification every 5 years and teach new team members importance.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements and company performance standards.
• Must be able to use or learn to use the equipment and tools used to perform this job.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at the start of the shift and prepare for duties.
• Perform markdowns and track loss.
• Operate deli, carryout, cafe, and cheese sections and supervise tasks.
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces, tools, equipment, displays, floors, and counters.
• Prepare and stock department sales floor cases and products.
• Slice, label, and display deli products; roast chicken and prepare meals.
• Help customers and assist with meat and cheese portions.
• Maintain safety, PPE compliance, and adherence to SOPs.
• Record temperature and sanitation logs and track loss.
