Job summary

Cosentino's Sunfresh in Kansas City, MO is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to lead the deli team, ensure high standards of service, and drive department performance in a full-time, on-site role.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months in deli/food service, a HS diploma, and be capable of coaching, interviewing, inventory control, and maintaining health and safety compliance while delivering Cosentino’s legendary customer experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months experience in deli, bakery, or food service.
• Must obtain a food handling permit within 14 days of employment.
• Completion of Cosentino’s Learning Plan training.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision in the absence of the Deli Manager.
• Promote teamwork and morale in the deli.
• Conduct effective interviews to hire quality candidates.
• Coach and evaluate performance; address labor issues.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and inspect deliveries.
• Enforce quality control and proper rotation.
• Promote ads and specials to increase sales.
• Ensure health, sanitation, and safety compliance.
• Keep deli area clean, stocked, and merchandised.
