Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager in California to help guide one of the store’s busiest departments.

You will support the Deli Manager in supervising staff, ensuring product quality, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include merchandising, inventory control, staff training, and maintaining safety standards while driving department profitability.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of supervisory experience in deli or related food service
• Possess Food Safety certification and knowledge of safety standards
• Strong written and verbal communication; team-oriented
• Proven leadership ability to motivate and manage staff

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deli Manager in merchandising for productivity and profit
• Maintain inventory control, product quality, and supervision of the Deli team
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning and teamwork
• Lead in hiring, training, and developing the Deli team
• Operate deli equipment and ensure safety and sanitation regulations are followed
