Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. in California is seeking a Deli Manager to lead one of our busy deli teams. You will drive productivity, manage inventory, and ensure top quality service and product freshness while coaching staff and coordinating across departments.

The role requires strong supervisory experience, food safety knowledge, and a flexible schedule. You will report to the Store Manager and help maintain store performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with 2 years of supervisory experience and 2 years of deli department experience; or an acceptable combination of experience
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals
• Outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude towards Team Members and customers
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to take and give direction, participating in a team environment
• Strong focus on detail, analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong organization and planning skills; able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
• Maintain Food Safety certification and compliance with all regulations

Responsibilities

• Manage and merchandise the department for maximum productivity and profit
• Order and manage inventory controls, product quality
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning and teamwork
• Lead a team to deliver the finest quality of product and service
• Coach and develop team members and conduct performance reviews
• Recruit, hire and promote staff in collaboration with the Store Manager
• Address team concerns and take corrective actions when needed
• Create and adjust schedules to ensure productivity
• Communicate standards and policy changes to team members
• Manage product orders, receiving, and storage
• Operate and maintain deli equipment
• Ensure health, safety and sanitation guidelines are followed
• Track weekly sales and manage inventories to meet goals
• Collaborate with Store Manager and other leaders to ensure store success
