Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Food Service Associate/Deli Clerk to manage the deli and food service daily operations, ensuring sanitation, cleanliness, and guest service. You will process cash transactions and learn to use registers, scales, scanners, and payment terminals.

The role emphasizes safe food handling, accurate pricing, and stocking duties. Flexibility for weekends/evenings is required, with opportunities to grow within our store network.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and evenings.
• Must have 2 years foodservice or retail management.
• Must have reliable transportation and an active driver's license.
• Serv-safe certification preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Walk-in cooler/freezer work environment.
• Stand for long periods and handle kitchen tools.

Responsibilities

• Process cash register transactions, giving back change and refunds.
• Learn to use register, scales, scanners and debit/credit terminals.
• Read UPC codes, product labels, shelf signage, and posted policies.
• Prepare, wrap, weigh, slice and stock deli/food service products.
• Prepare and cook deli items including salads, sandwiches, and hot beverages.
• Work safely around knives, slicers, ovens, and burners.
• Take guest orders and ensure timely and satisfactory fulfillment.
• Follow deli merchandising guidelines and maintain clean work areas.
• Assist store manager with other duties as assigned.
