Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a Deli Manager to supervise the deli department, ensure guest service quality, and uphold merchandising and departmental standards. The role includes managing schedules and budget adherence, with duties in product prep, ordering, stocking, and training of staff.

The position emphasizes strong leadership, excellent guest service, and ability to maintain sanitation and safety across the department.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to supervise people including training and development.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Performs PA announcements.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
