Job summary

Jimbo in Carlsbad is seeking a friendly deli team member to deliver excellent customer service at the counter, assist customers with orders, and maintain display cases. You will set up and refresh the cold case, portion and present merchandise, operate deli equipment safely, and keep the work area clean and compliant with health regulations.

This full-time role requires teamwork and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to follow health regulations and obtain a Food Handler's Certificate within 10 days of employment.
• Ability to prioritize and handle several tasks at once.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the deli service counter (hot case, cold case, sandwich station, bakery, juice bar).
• Set up cold case at store opening and refresh by 5:00 pm.
• Portion, present, and package merchandise to minimize shrink and maximize sales.
• Maintain clean, appealing, and sanitary work area in compliance with Health Department regulations.
• Operate and sanitize all deli equipment safely and follow portion guidelines.
