Job summary

Jimbo’s in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Deli Counter Supervisor to lead daily counter operations and ensure outstanding customer service. You will oversee staff, manage orders, and maintain food safety standards.

The role requires previous food service experience, strong communication, leadership, and the ability to train new staff. Willingness to travel to other store locations is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience.
• Understands allergen handling and food safety.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Leadership and team-building abilities with coaching and supervision experience.
• Willingness to travel or transfer to other store locations within Jimbo’s.

Responsibilities

• Perform counter clerk duties and supervise counter staff.
• Assist customers per Customer Service Standards and ensure staff adherence.
• Represent Jimbo’s in the absence of Deli Counter management.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment per Health Department regulations.
• Enforce store policies, train staff, and manage breaks and documentation.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, labeling, and product rotation to ensure freshness.
• Monitor credits, spoilage, and shrink; ensure proper recording of purchases.
• Oversee special orders and ensure timely fulfillment.
