Qualifications

• Must understand and follow Department of Health regulations.
• Must complete Food Handler’s Certificate within 10 days of employment.
• Ability to prioritize and handle several tasks at once.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• High tolerance for stress.

Responsibilities

• Proactively assist customers within our Customer Service Standards.
• Work any service counter station (hot/cold case, sandwich, bakery, juice bar) and any shift.
• Set up cold case at opening and refresh by 5:00 pm.
• Portion, present, and package merchandise per requests to minimize shrink and maximize sales.
• Develop product knowledge and serve customers confidently.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area in compliance with Health Regulations.
• Operate and sanitize all deli equipment safely.
• Follow portion guidelines and record samples, demos, and waste.
• Coordinate with Kitchen staff; seek help when needed to counter.
• Foster teamwork between Deli and Kitchen staff.
