Jimbo's in Escondido, CA is seeking a Kitchen Manager to support the Prepared Foods Manager and grow the department’s sales through quality production, outstanding customer service, and smart merchandising. Lead and develop Kitchen staff; drive production and performance in a fast-paced deli environment.

The role emphasizes ownership of the kitchen in the manager's absence, staffing, scheduling, and adherence to health and safety standards while ensuring flavorful, fresh offerings for customers.

Qualifications

• Intermediate math skills
• Computer literate (Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities
• Willing to work early mornings, evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

• Own the Kitchen in the absence of the Prepared Foods Manager.
• Achieve financial goals: sales, margins, inventory for the department.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and manage staff with documentation and coaching.
• Develop and maintain kitchen schedules and delegate tasks by skill level.
• Ensure hygiene, safety, and quality standards across all stages of food prep.
• Coordinate with Marketing on promotions and product sampling; ensure proper signage.
