Overview

If you’re excited to work in a professional kitchen preparing and cooking meals, consider applying for the position of Deli Clerk. As one of the fastest growing natural foods retailers, we’re seeking team members who are passionate about food.

Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing high-quality customer service. Your tasks include arranging vegetables or sliced meats for made-to-order sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and maintaining food safety standards. Opportunities for growth include learning about products, equipment, and customer service excellence. We value those who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or an acceptable combination of education and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields.
• Dependable and reliable
• Outgoing, friendly attitude with positive interaction skills
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours per shift
• Perform cleaning and sanitation in the department
• Operate slicers and cooking equipment safely
• Adhere to safety and health regulations and maintain a Food Handlers permit
• Work in different temperature environments (cooler and freezer)
• Other duties as assigned
