Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Deli Bakery HMS Supervisor in Conway, SC to support store operations, lead a team, and drive financial and sales results. You will coach associates, maintain food safety standards, and ensure a positive shopping experience with efficient, friendly service.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job function.
• Certified Food Safety Manager or ability to achieve accreditation within the first 90 days of employment; accreditation maintained while employed.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager, including supervising the performance of all duties and responsibilities of Deli Bakery HMS Associates.
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to achieve productivity expectations.
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to promote a culture reflective of our Brand Strategy and Culture.
• Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Ensure excellent customer service and create a positive shopping experience for customers.
• Model outstanding customer service and use product knowledge to meet customer needs.
• Control store expenses through proper ordering, care for supplies and equipment.
• Use company tools such as financial reports, ACIS, scheduling, productivity, ordering (CAO), and business information systems; understand ACIS.
• Maintain department appearance, quality, variety, workplace safety, food safety and sanitation.
• Ensure delis schedules are written to provide extraordinary customer service.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise complies with policies.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Record and report accidents as per Food Lion procedures.
• Monitor shrink and coach associates to prevent losses.
