Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leadership professional to plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day operations within various departments of the store, and to mentor and coach for advancement while implementing strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales.

The role requires staffing and training oversight, execution of company standards, and a focus on prime shopping hours, product presentation, and delivering friendly service to customers.

Formación

• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store; customer service and product flow experience helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members in the organization in a way that provides clear and precise direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict by addressing root cause issues.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor team members in all areas of the organization including SDITs, team members in hourly positions and team leaders.
• Successful completion of all required certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and identify development needs for team members.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions; advise on discharge.
• Manage P&L, drive sales, and control shrink.
• Model exceptional, fast, friendly service.
• Promote the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings.
• Mentor and coach team to exceed service and sales goals.
• Ensure thorough training and completion of required training.
• Spend majority of time in-store assisting customers and staff.
• Promote a safe work environment.
• Promote reliable and consistent attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
