Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Store Leader to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day operations while mentoring team members to deliver excellent customer service. The role emphasizes staffing, coaching, and adherence to company standards across departments to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.

The position focuses on developing talent, managing multiple tasks, and maintaining store presentation during peak hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in meat, bakery, produce and deli; also customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and address root causes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze information.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach the team to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to achieve needs.
• Promote succession planning and development for team members.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions as needed and supports promotion decisions.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure training completion.
• Spends majority of time in-store communicating with customers and team members to deliver exceptional service.
