Job summary

Harris Teeter, LLC. is seeking a Full Time Deli Bakery Management Assistant (DLT) in DARNESTOWN, MD.

You will assist in supervising up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department and support the Department Manager with overall direction and evaluation of the department. Responsibilities include interviewing and training associates, planning and directing work, and addressing performance and customer issues, while upholding Harris Teeter policies and standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) with 1–3 years of related experience.
• Commitment to unparalleled customer service and strong communication.
• Willingness to participate in and complete required training and to work with the team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department.
• Support the Department Manager with overall direction, coordination, and evaluation.
• Interview and train associates; plan, assign and direct work.
• Assist in appraising performance and disciplining associates; address complaints.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are followed.
