Job summary

Harris Teeter in Potomac, MD is seeking a Full Time Deli Bakery Management Assistant (DLT) to support the Fresh Foods leadership by supervising up to 80 associates and assisting the Department Manager with direction, staffing, and performance evaluations.

You will help train and develop a team, plan daily work, handle customer service excellence, and ensure safety and quality standards across the department. This role offers hands-on leadership in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training and to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• Complete Company's training including but not limited to new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and department manager training.

Responsibilities

• Assist to manage and supervise up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department.
• Interviewing and training associates.
• Planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Assist in appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates.
• Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
