Job summary

Harris Teeter in Fulton, MD is seeking a Full Time Deli Bakery Management Assistant to help manage up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department. You will assist the Department Manager with direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department, and supervise staff per policy.

The role emphasizes customer service, training, planning, and performance feedback, with opportunities to develop leadership skills and contribute to store goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Commitment to unparalleled customer service; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training and to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• Complete Company's training including but not limited to new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and department manager training.

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities may include performing the duties of baker/fryer, cake decorator, fresh foods clerks, and chef.
• Interviewing and training associates.
• Planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Assist in appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates.
• Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
