You will manage labor, promote our Brand Culture, control costs, ensure safety and sanitation, and use company tools like ACIS and scheduling to maintain a high standard of customer service and department appearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager, supervising the performance of all duties and responsibilities of Deli Bakery HMS Associates
• Labor planning and coaching associates to meet productivity expectations
• Provide leadership to promote a culture aligned with Food Lion's Brand Strategy and Culture
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results
• Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience
• Model excellent customer service and leverage department product knowledge to meet customer needs
• Control store expenses through proper ordering, care for supplies and equipment
• Utilize tools such as ACIS, scheduling, productivity reports, and ordering systems
• Ensure department appearance, safety, sanitation, and compliance with policies and regulations
• Maintain properly written Deli Bakery HMS schedules and biweekly coverage
• Ensure compliant ordering, receiving, preparation and display of merchandise
• Observe and address unsafe conditions and regulatory requirements
• Monitor shrink and provide coaching to prevent losses
• Follow advertising and promotional guidelines and company policies
• Maintain security standards and professional appearance
• Complete CBT and training courses as required
• Meet the physical requirements of the role
