Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Ability to lead and manage a team
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job function
• Accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar, or able to achieve accreditation as a Certified Food Safety Manager within 90 days

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager
• Daily management of labor and coaching associates to meet productivity expectations
• Provide leadership to promote Brand Strategy and Culture
• Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results
• Maintain enthusiastic customer service and a positive shopping experience
• Utilize company tools such as ACIS, scheduling, productivity, ordering, and ERP systems
• Ensure department appearance, safety, sanitation and compliance
