Job summary

Food Lion in Blackstone, VA is seeking a Deli Bakery HMS Supervisor to support store operations, manage the Deli Bakery HMS Associate team in the absence of the Deli Manager, and help achieve financial and sales goals.

You will lead labor scheduling, coach associates for productivity, deliver friendly customer service, maintain department standards, and ensure compliance with safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising.
• Effective communication, customer service and selling skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Familiarity with ACIS, CAO and CBT is a plus; accreditation in food safety may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager.
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates for productivity.
• Provide leadership to promote a culture aligned with brand strategy.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Deliver friendly customer service and a positive shopping experience.
• Ensure department appearance, safety, sanitation and compliance with policies.
• Handle ordering, receiving, and display per company guidelines.
• Monitor inventory, shrink, and utilize tools like ACIS and CAO for reporting.
• Complete required CBT and training packets; adhere to dress and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
