Qualifications

• Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar accrediting organization as a "Certified Food Safety Manager" or will be required to attend company provided training and have the ability to achieve accreditation within the first 90 days of employment; Accreditation must be maintained while employed in a position requiring accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager, including supervising the performance of all duties and responsibilities of Deli Bakery HMS Associates.
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to achieve productivity expectations.
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to promote a culture reflective of our Brand Strategy and Culture.
• Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Create a positive shopping experience with enthusiastic customer service while meeting customer expectations.
• Ensure department appearance, quality, variety, safety and sanitation are maintained.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations and Food Lion procedures.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and manage scheduling, ordering and inventory processes.
