Festival Foods in Wisconsin seeks a Deli Assistant Department Manager to lead deli operations and people development. You’ll help schedule staff, manage inventory, and drive guest satisfaction in a fast-paced grocery deli environment.

The role requires leadership, food-service knowledge, and a focus on safety and guest service, with opportunities for coaching and growth within a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in fast food, deli, or restaurant environments preferred.
• ServeSafe Certification is required (Festival will cover the cost if not certified).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deli Department Manager in achieving labor goals by creating effective associate schedules.
• Contribute to achieving gross profit goals through planning and controlling shrink.
• Provide thorough training and ongoing support to new team members, serving as a mentor.
• Lead deli department associates by delegating tasks and supporting their professional growth.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate pricing; place orders with vendors for events.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and address concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area and sales floor.
• Assist with coaching sessions, performance reviews, and training checklists.
• Regular, timely attendance and coverage for absences.
• Support the team with other duties as assigned
