Job summary

Festival Foods is seeking a Deli Assistant Department Manager - PM in Appleton, WI. You will lead a team in the deli, drive guest satisfaction, and collaborate with the Deli Department Manager to meet labor and profit goals. This full-time role covers nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced grocery deli environment.

You’ll mentor associates, maintain safety standards, and ensure accurate inventory and pricing while delivering an exceptional deli experience for guests.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory role with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team

Responsibilities

• Leadership Support: assist the Deli Department Manager in achieving labor goals and contributing to departmental gross profit objectives.
• Team Development: lead, coach, and reinforce Festival culture, guest service and performance expectations; train associates for high retention and performance.
• Guest Experience: provide outstanding customer service, resolve guest concerns, and ensure a memorable shopping experience.
• Operational Excellence: maintain inventory, pricing accuracy, and manage special orders; address back-stock opportunities.
• Collaboration: work with the Deli Department Manager on performance reviews and interviewing/hiring new associates.
• Safety & Compliance: uphold safety standards and complete required food safety logs and procedures.
• Support & Training: provide ongoing coaching and training after 30/60/90 days of hire.
• Honor Commitments: adhere to schedule and provide notice for absences.
• Support the Team: perform other duties as assigned.
