Festival Foods in Menasha, WI is seeking a Deli Assistant Department Manager - PM to lead a deli team and support the department manager in achieving goals. You’ll guide associates, ensure exceptional guest service, and maintain efficient deli operations while upholding safety standards.

The role emphasizes training, scheduling, and collaboration with the department to drive performance and a positive shopping experience for guests.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory role with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of the retail food business, merchandising, and perishable department operations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively deal with both associates and guests.
• Knowledge of safety requirements and company safety policies, including training on equipment such as slicers, fryers, ovens, etc.
• ServeSafe certification (Festival will pay for certification if not already certified).
• At least 6 months of experience in a Counter Lead or Night Lead position.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deli Department Manager in achieving labor goals and contribute to departmental gross profit objectives, focusing on shrink control and efficient operations.
• Lead, coach, and reinforce Festival culture, guest service, and performance expectations; train and develop associates with high retention.
• Provide outstanding customer service, resolve guest concerns, and ensure a memorable experience for all.
• Maintain inventory levels, ensure correct pricing, and manage special orders; act on sales floor and back-stock conditions.
• Collaborate with the Deli Department Manager on performance reviews and hiring new associates.
• Ensure safety standards are upheld and food safety logs and procedures are followed.
• Provide consistent feedback and training after 30, 60, and 90 days of hire.
• Maintain regular attendance and schedule adherence; arrange replacements when needed.
• Support the team with additional duties as assigned.
