Job summary

Festival Foods is seeking a Deli Assistant Department Manager - PM to lead a fast-paced deli team and drive guest satisfaction in a thriving Wisconsin grocery setting. You’ll mentor staff, manage shifts, ensure food safety, and support department goals while upholding Festival's service standards.

This full-time role requires strong leadership, a focus on operational excellence, and a commitment to safety. ServeSafe certification is preferred and training is provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a supervisory role
• Knowledge of retail food business and perishable ops
• Excellent communication with associates and guests
• Knowledge of safety policies and equipment operation
• ServeSafe certification (Festival will pay for certification)
• At least 6 months in Counter Lead or Night Lead role

Responsibilities

• Leadership Support: assist the Deli Department Manager in achieving labor goals and gross profit objectives
• Team Development: lead, coach, and reinforce Festival culture and performance expectations
• Guest Experience: provide outstanding customer service and resolve guest concerns
• Operational Excellence: maintain inventory, pricing accuracy, and manage special orders
• Collaboration: work with the Deli Department Manager on reviews and hiring
• Safety & Compliance: uphold safety standards and food safety logs
• Support & Training: provide feedback and training after 30/60/90 days
• Honor Commitments: regular attendance and notice for replacements
• Support the Team: perform other duties as assigned
