Job Overview

Reports to: Deli Manager

Classification: Part Time

Union

Rate of Pay: Progressive scale up to $17.25/hour, based on experience

Hours: Sunday – Saturday, varied hours

Responsibilities

• Make lasting connections with customers.
• Prepare deli products, including a variety of meats and cheeses (you may have to handle pork).
• Fill and rotate cases and display, which may involve heavy lifting up to 50lbs.
• Help maintain a clean and sanitary store.
• Work with the team on all tasks necessary to keep an awesome department.
• Be a part of a dedicated team that enjoys their job, arrives promptly for shifts, and works as scheduled.
• Operate equipment such as scanner, register, scale, check‑approval machine, coupon machine, intercom, pallet jack, highboy cart, box cutter, tongs, steamer, slicer, wrapper, knives, broaster, chicken fryer, chicken hot case, pizza oven, coffee pot, and cleaning utensils.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent: Physical lifting/carrying up to 50lbs., pushing/pulling 500–1,500lbs., walking, reaching, standing, stooping/bending, squatting.
• Occasional: Lifting/carrying over 50lbs., crawling.
• Occasional: Physical lifting/carrying over 50lbs., approximately less than 15% of the work shift or fewer than 10 repetitions per shift.
• Environmental: Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, hot equipment, and cooking oil.
