Job summary

NPR is seeking a Manager, Inclusive Programs & Operations in Washington, DC to lead DEIA programs and partnerships. You will design and implement learning experiences, facilitate inclusive leadership, and coordinate cross-functional efforts across the newsroom, People team, and partners.

Qualifications

• DEIA programs or initiatives experience across the organization.
• Ability to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans and timelines.
• Experience designing learning content and facilitating trainings.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple departments and leaders.
• Experience managing large-scale convenings and complex events.
• Strong risk identification and mitigation in program delivery.
• Capability to deconstruct priorities into operational steps and plans.
• Proven coaching skills to foster psychological safety.
• Excellent interpersonal skills across diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Own DEIA programs from concept to completion with milestones and success measures.
• Partner with VP of DEI to stand up new programs and partnerships.
• Coordinate cross-functional work across People, Newsroom, Marketing, Finance, and more.
• Manage external partnerships, vendors, and ERG leaders for program delivery.
• Design and facilitate DEI learning experiences for employees and leaders.
• Operationalize large-scale convenings with logistics and scheduling.
• Create resources, guides, trainings, and frameworks to apply DEIA principles.
• Develop quantitative and qualitative measures and implement improvements.
